This bacteria doubles in size every 7-9 minutes, so the effects will be seen on your person within a few hours of initial infection. Please remember; never squeeze or mash any bumps, if it is MRSA this can cause it to go deeper into the tissue, opening the chance for a blood born infection which is much more life threatening.  This is something we can see and if you have had this infection, you felt is as well. These pictures are 8 hrs apart. I was taking a antibiotic that someone just happen to have on the boat, I had taken the last one when we got back to dry land and didn't get seen at the hospital until the next day.
