Where Did It Come From?

Did this MRSA Superbug happen by nature?

This bacterium has been around for a very long time. It wasn't until man-made antibiotics, probably starting with "Penicillin" that this bacteria mutated and became resistant. As each new drug was introduced to this Pathogen it has learned how to withstand and survive.

The bacterium that is now causing so much trouble is called USA 300. It came from the community: CA-MRSA but was brought into the Hospital by the public. There are over 4 million Americans colonized and hundreds of thousands that have been infected and it killed more people last year than AIDS.
