Manuka Honey 16 is a premium, medical-grade honey which is produced by bees that gather nectar from the flowers that grow on the Manuka bush (also known as Leptospermum scoparium) which is indigenous to New Zealand.

Studies have found that Manuka H contains very powerful antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral, antioxidant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties, making it extremely effective in treating a wide variety of health conditions.

Manuka H vs. Regular Honey

Manuka H is significantly different than regular honey that you would find at your local supermarket. Even though standard honey contains hydrogen peroxide which is a known antiseptic, it loses most of its healing properties when it comes in contact with certain conditions such as light, heat or dilution.

Only Active Manuka H has additional antibacterial properties that have the ability to destroy the infectious bacteria that cause most health complications.

Unlike standard honey, Manuka H is also stable so there is no concern of it losing its potency or healing properties.

There are a few major differences between ordinary honey and Manuka H.

  1. Only Manuka H provides non-hydrogen peroxide antibacterial components.
  2. Manuka H's antibacterial factor is unaffected by enzymes in the body that destroy hydrogen peroxide components.
  3. Manuka H is highly effective against antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria.
  4. Manuka H contains active healing properties not found in other types of honey.
